LONDON, UK, 22 July 2015 — Seven European Revenue Management professionals graduated as globally Certified Revenue Management Executives at the Hilton London Kensington on Wednesday, in a workshop held by HSMAI Europe for the second time, following the 21 first to certify in Europe last February.

They all attended the HSMAI Europe prep class and took the online exam in London, lead by pre-work HSMAI Europe trainer Niels Mekenkamp, CRME, Director Hospitality PreSales – EMEA in Infor, visiting subjects such as the collision between Revenue Management and Digital Marketing.

The CRME designation, often used as a post-nominal, is a recognition that those who have qualified are:

– Professionals in the field of revenue management and clearly conversant with its intricacies and importance
– Competent to develop an infrastructure to support revenue management within the framework of an organisation
– Able to maximise revenue opportunities and optimise profits by managing revenue
– Capable of making informed decisions to accept or reject pieces of business to meet overall organisational goals
– Proficient at the art and science of revenue management

All participants of this week’s workshop are vendors. After passing the exam they will be appointed globally Certified Revenue Management Executives, entitled to add the CRME designation to their name. Some of them will later be qualified as pre-work trainers on behalf of HSMAI Europe, in workshops to be held in 17 more cities in Europe this year. Read more here.

HSMAI Europe's President and CEO Ingunn Hofseth at HSMAI partner Infor's HITEC stand in Austin Texas, Tuesday 16 June 2015.“HSMAI Europe’s workshops bring together all industry experts to discuss the practicalities of how to overcome challenges and make the best of new opportunities,” says Ingunn Hofseth (right), President HSMAI Europe, adding:

“The more you know, and the more you can prove you know, the better ROI you can provide to your employer or prospective employer, the more you can improve your company’s bottom line, and the better you can position yourself in your chosen discipline. To ensure certification, no matter where in Europe you are, in addition to our big conference in London in February next year, we will bring the small certification pre-workshops to a city near potential partakers very soon.”

Lennert De Jong, Commercial Director, citizenMHotels and chair of HSMAI Europe Revenue Management Advisory Board.“The HSMAI Revenue Management Advisory Board is thrilled with the traction that the CRME is getting in Europe. Revenue Management is one of the newer jobs in the hospitality organogram, so adding a certification by HSMAI to your resume, really helps to stand out and progress your career,” says Lennert de Jong (right), citizenM Hotels’ Commercial Director, and Chair of the HSMAI Europe Revenue Management Board.

HSMAI’s CRME certification is a fantastic opportunity for Revenue Leaders in Europe to obtain a globally recognised certification in Revenue Management, confirming HSMAI’s objective to be a key resource for education, knowledge and interchange in hospitality.

HSMAI in America introduced certification for sales professionals nearly thirty years ago. Today HSMAI offers training and certification in several disciplines, including a global certification in Revenue Management.
